Guest Speaker Maryanne Larocque is the owner of NewRoads Consulting, where she works with organizations that need support and guidance in the implementation of Best Practises in Human Resources, specific to Talent Acquisition and Selection and Performance Management and Employee Engagement. Considering the HR legal framework and compliance, she designs and facilitates workshops for entrepreneurs, business professionals and leaders. Maryanne also provides part time course instruction for HR programs through Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s School of Business. With a deep understanding of human behaviour and its impact on business results, Maryanne’s work effectively addresses the challenged of managing the ‘people’ side of business. Her personal mission is “To educate those responsible for managing the work of others.”
Guest Speaker Tracy Arno, CEO of Essence Recruitment, helps Saskatchewan businesses recruit and retain skilled, qualified, and high-performing individuals. She provides leadership teams consultation and training on people strategy services including strategic succession planning, interview skills, organizational chart development and position specification. She was named as a “Women of Influence” by SaskBusiness magazine, devotes her time for several community initiatives and mentors for the Raj Manek program. She is a board of director for the Saskatoon Prairieland Park, NSBA, Meewasin Valley Authority, and SIEC and co-chairs for the Saskatoon’s United Way Annual campaign. Additional achievements include the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce’s “Member of the Year” award and finalist for the Young Athena award.
