President
Andrea Hansen is a recognized Educator, Writer, Speaker and Benefits Advisor, whom you may have seen published in HR Saskatchewan, PotashWorks and The Business Advisor magazines. With over 20 years of experience, she supports successful employers by optimizing their group benefit & pension plans to maximize value and results.
Andrea is the creator of the Sutton Employee Engagement Wheel™ which she uses as part of our Sutton Smartfit Process™ as a tool to help educate employers about the essential components of a total rewards strategy and advise how they can allocate their resources, time and money into the right elements of their total rewards program.
Andrea is the President of Sutton Benefits & Pension and was named on the Benefits and Pensions Monitor|Hot List 2023, recognizing her contributions in shaping the industry. She has been recognized for her community leadership as a past recipient of the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award, the SYPE Young Professional of the Year Award and a two-time YWCA Women of Distinction nominee. She was the She was the Kent Smith-Windsor Leadership Award in 2019 recognizing her exemplary extraordinary commitment, creativity and effort to promote entrepreneurship in Saskatchewan and most recently, she was awarded the WESK Celebration of Achievement award which pays tribute to an exceptional woman entrepreneur who has built a business in Saskatchewan of significant impact to the economy and the community.
One of her many accomplishments was being the co-founder and host of Seeds for Dreams, which offered woman-owned Saskatchewan businesses seed capital through a unique pitch and vote event. Andrea is on the Board of Directors for the Benefits Alliance, a national organization of independent firms collectively administering over 8,000 benefit plans and 1,500 group retirement plans. Being part of the leadership within the industry allows Sutton to be at the forefront of new offerings and to lobby and influence on behalf of clients.
Originally from Raymore, Saskatchewan, Andrea graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan and holds a specialty designation focused on group benefits design and management (Group Benefits Associate), in addition to a Certified Financial Planner® designation. She recently earned her Total Rewards Certificate through International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) and has achieved additional certifications to help her clients including the Workplace Mental Health Leadership™ certificate from Queen’s University and 4 Seasons of Reconciliation certificate from First Nations University of Canada.
Andrea’s husband, Tim, is also a partner of the firm. Together they have two children, Victoria and Broderick. Andrea enjoys watching them both play hockey and they all stay active together through all of their outdoor activities and adventures including Geocaching, one of their favourite hobbies, and she cherishes the time they spend together at their cabin in Fishing Lake.

Staci Heinbigner is an educator, writer and Benefits Advisor Associate, whom you may have seen published in the Western Canada Highway News Magazine and We Build magazines. With nearly 20 years of experience, Staci is a specialist in group benefits and building total rewards strategies for businesses.
In 2015, Staci obtained her Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation, a specialty designation focusing on the design, administration, and communication of group benefits plans and part of the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist® (CEBS) credential through the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. Currently she is enrolled in the Certified Holistic Nutritionist program working towards a nutritionist designation.
Staci is recognized for her contributions to the development of The Sutton Smartfit™ process, which was designed to align your benefits and pension plan with your company values and culture while identifying obstacles, gaps, and opportunities. The process has been proven to help growing, successful businesses make informed choices and take timely, confident action to support what really matters to their teams and their business.

Staci enjoys life on the go with her two teenage sons, Scott and Levi. From the swimming pool to the hockey rink and many sporting events in between, her boys keep her busy cheering them on in all their activities. Staci enjoys cooking big, healthy meals and outdoor activities like gardening, running and time at the lake with friends and family.

Stacey Frost is an educator, webinar facilitator and Benefits Advisor Associate specializing in Employee Benefits with 24 plus years of industry related experience with local and national brokerage firms. She joined Sutton Benefits & Pension in 2014 and provides customer service and claims support, analysis of group benefits programs, plan design amendments, training for plan administrators and facilitates employee presentations. As the lead developer and presenter, Stacey launched our official CPHR accredited administration webinar series, the Sutton Coaching Connection in 2020.
Stacey is a graduate from Business College. In 1999, she obtained the Life Office Management Association Fundamentals of Life and Health Insurance, her Life Insurance License in 2006, and her Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation in 2014. In 2022, she became one of only 35 in the province of Saskatchewan to earn her Certified Employee Benefit Specialist® (CEBS) designation by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Dalhousie University.
Stacey embraces a multitude of opportunities to gain continued education credits in order to maintain her designations and keep informed on upcoming trends. In 2019, she completed the 4 Seasons of Reconciliation professional development course in an effort to gain understanding surrounding the history and culture of Indigenous communities in Canada. In 2021, she completed the Workplace Mental Health Leadership™ Certificate Program through the Queens University and Lifeworks to gain evidence-based solutions and industry best practices for a mentally healthy workplace.
Stacey fills a position with the National Mental Health Committee through the Benefits Alliance Group, a national organization of independent firms collectively administering over 8,000 benefit plans and 1,500 group retirement plans. Involvement with this committee provides her a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the issues and workplace solutions surrounding the Mental Health crises.
She is an advocate of community and has served on other various boards including the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce and Family Service Saskatoon Foundation. She is passionate about volunteering and has chaired and served on a few fundraising committees for local charities. 2020 marked her 10th year as a Volunteer Coordinator for the Saskatoon SaskTel Jazz Festival. She was recognized for her community volunteerism as a nominee for the YWCA Women of Distinction award in 2016 in the Community Building category.
Stacey is the proud mother of one daughter, Hailey, and happily gained three stepsons, Danny, Kieven and TJ, when she married Cam in the fall of 2017. Cam and Stacey enjoy living at Wakaw Lake where they fish, play golf, snowmobile, spend time making friends and enjoying the outdoors with their beautiful dog Nallah. They love to travel to Cam’s hometown in Ontario as often as possible.

Lisa joined our team in December of 2022 and is the executive assistant and coordinator for the benefits team, including providing team support for meeting preparation and data integrity.
Lisa graduated from Portage College in Cold Lake, Alberta with her Office Administration Certification in 2003 and has over 20 years of experience supporting CEOs, Senior Leadership teams, Boards of Directors, and subcommittees. She loves organization, efficiency and has an eye for detail.
Originally from Ontario, Lisa has lived in or spent time in almost every Canadian province and territory except NWT and the Yukon. Her husband, Cameron, was born and raised in Saskatchewan and the two of them eloped to Jasper on a snowy April Fools Day many years ago. With 6 sons between them, they are large, blended family of 8. She loves spending time with her family which now also includes 2 grandchildren, Erik and Alice.
Lisa loves being in the kitchen, cooking, making fresh homemade bread, and jams. Autumn is her favorite time of year and her fall baking favorites include pumpkin orange jam, pumpkin cinnamon cake and pumpkin pickles. She likes reading, movies and spends hours playing cards with her family.

Tim Hansen, B.Comm., CFP, CEA is a recognized Speaker, Financial Educator, Author and Retirement Planner, whom you may have seen on CTV and CBC and in the Business View and Thrive magazines. He delivers Ted Talks and other educational presentations for the community and organizations including Advocis, Family Enterprise Exchange and the Praxis School of Entrepreneurship. He is of the 31 authorities across the United States and Canada that was invited to contribute a chapter to the Amazon #1 Best Seller Build Wealth Like A Shark featuring Kevin Harrington, original Shark on ABC TV’s Shark Tank, who has grown 20 companies to over $100 million in revenue each. For the past several years Tim has been a mentor in the Raj Manek Mentorship Program, which pairs experienced business mentors with young entrepreneurs, and he produced the Financial Toolkit they provide on their website.
As a partner and Certified Financial Planner with Sutton Wealth Planning and Sutton Benefits & Pension, Tim has been helping successful families and business owners preserve, protect and pass on their wealth since 2004. Tim is a specialist in Group Retirement Savings and he enjoys working with his wife Andrea (also a partner with Sutton) in building Total Rewards Strategies for businesses. Tim is passionate about helping successful people take control of their wealth and fulfill their dreams. He knows that for most families, their wealth is in control of them, and this leads to confusion, fear and worry. Through the Sutton Abundant Retirement Process™, which Tim co-created, his clients instead achieve a unique impact, while enjoying a lifestyle of freedom and peace of mind about their wealth.
Originally from Theodore, Saskatchewan, Tim graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2001 with a Bachelor of Commerce. Tim is a member of Advocis, as well as the NSBA, Chamber of Commerce, and Benefits Alliance.
Tim and Andrea have two children, Victoria, and Broderick. Tim enjoys being involved in his children’s activities and has coached both of them in minor hockey. An avid sports fan, Tim’s teams are the Vancouver Canucks, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders, where he is a season ticket holder, and he enjoys taking in as many games as possible. He also plays hockey recreationally, and he is known for his powerful skating stride and soft hands around the net.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys many outdoor activities, from hunting, fishing, boating, hiking and skiing, many of which they enjoy together as a family at their cabin at Fishing Lake. Tim also enjoys the arts, collecting coins, drawing, painting and dabbling in photography, as well as reading personal development books. Tim tries to keep everything light through his keen sense of humour, and he puts those around him at ease through is easy-going and fun-loving nature.

Danae Scott, BBA., is a Service Manager at Sutton Benefits & Pension. She joined our Sutton team in 2020. She consults clients on their group retirement plan management with the goal to improve their plan to best suit their needs. She leads education sessions and manages the individual consultations with employees. Behind the scenes, she provides necessary data for the plan analysis, investment fund analysis and design recommendations.
Danae graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Regina, currently holds her Life Insurance License and Canadian Securities Course. In addition to group pension plan support, she assists Stuart Sutton, Wealth Planner, of our Sutton Wealth Planning division (a branch of Assante Capital Management Ltd.).
Danae is originally from a small Saskatchewan town and embraces the city life here in Saskatoon. She is a proud auntie and loves spending time with her two nephews. She also has 2 cats, Penny and Piper, who are very cute and cuddly. In her spare time, she likes to socialize and play team sports, such as hockey and beach volleyball. Outside of the extraversion, Danae likes to maintain her health and wellness by practicing self-care activities

Cary Brunett, BASoc., is a Service Manager, Educator and Community Ambassador dedicated to service excellence. Cary has a BA Sociology from the University of Saskatchewan, an Administrative Assistant Diploma and her CAIB designation in insurance. She specializes in enhancing client service and experience with pension plan implementation and helping plan administrators with their day-to-day administration. She plays an integral role with client support and is responsible for investigating, analyzing and executing problem solving solutions and ensuring the follow up on client service inquiries.
Bringing over 25 years of experience with her, she has worked in numerous industries providing service to clients to help them find solutions that best suit their needs. Following 9 years service as a Town Councilor in Delisle, Saskatchewan, Cary was elected as Mayor and loves providing services and opportunities to her community. Cary has obtained her Life Insurance license and is looking at ways she can continue to expand her knowledge and capabilities.
Cary’s pride and joy is her family. She loves spending time with them at their cabin at Fishing Lake as well as scrapbooking, photography, gardening, baking, reading, woodworking and watching movies. Her family is rounded out with their family cats, Zoe & Lilith.

Marsha Luiten joined the team in February 2024 as the Office Manager and brings with her over 20 years of industry experience. She is passionate about collaborating with others and fostering a productive work environment. She leads in areas of efficiency and streamlining processes to enhance the day-to-day operations and support the success of the team.
Marsha earned her Business Admin Certificate in 1990 and continues taking courses throughout her career to further her understanding in the areas of technology, administration practices, accounting, sales, and marketing. She is fueled to make things easier for everyone so you will often find her watching a tutorial to better understand a program to get the most out of it.
Originally from Regina, Marsha moved to Saskatoon in 2012 and loves exploring the city’s great restaurants and great walking areas. She married her husband Kevin in 2016 and they love spending time together reading, walking, and cycling. During the summer months you will find Marsha spending time in her garden and enjoying the sun on her front porch, while in winter she will spend long hours knitting scarves, hats, blankets for those in need.

Lorraine joined the team April 1, 2019. She is responsible for reception and assisting the team in the day-to-day activities to help keep Sutton running smoothly.
Lorraine graduated from Saskatoon Business College in 1987. After graduation, she worked for a law firm for 4 years. She used the experience she gained there to work for an agriculture lender for 2 years and then decided to raise a family and run a daycare business for 25 years.
Lorraine and her husband, Brad were married in 1990. They have two grown children, Michelle and Ryan. Michelle and Kris were married in 2021. Ellis was born October of 2022. They enjoy going out to the lake, have a permanent site at Poplar Beach, Wakaw Lake. She enjoys reading and playing golf. She is also a Rider fan and enjoys warm vacations.
