Andrea Hansen, B.Comm., CFP®, GBA is a recognized Educator, Writer, Speaker and Benefits Advisor, whom you may have seen in her recurring feature in The Business Advisor Magazine sharing “Stories You Should Know” about local entrepreneurs. With almost 20 years of experience, she helps build and manage customized, compelling employee benefit and pension strategies for growing businesses, helping them find the right combination of benefits to protect, support and optimize their employees’ health and wellbeing.
Andrea is the creator of the Sutton Employee Engagement Wheel™ and she authored and facilitates Sutton’s Maximize your Talent Strategy & Drive Performance workshops to educate employers about the essential components of a total rewards strategy. She is passionate about helping employers effectively allocate their resources, time and money into the right elements of their total rewards program and has helped hundreds of employers maximize and leverage their results.
Andrea is a partner of Sutton Benefits & Pension, and has been recognized for her community leadership as a past recipient of the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award, the SYPE Young Professional of the Year Award and a two-time YWCA Women of Distinction nominee. Most recently, Andrea received the Kent Smith-Windsor Leadership Award which recognizes exemplary extraordinary commitment, creativity and effort to promote entrepreneurship in Saskatchewan. One of her many accomplishments is being the co-founder and host of Seeds for Dreams, which offers woman-owned Saskatchewan businesses seed capital through a unique pitch and vote event.
Originally from Raymore, Saskatchewan, Andrea graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan, and she holds a specialty designation focused on group benefits design and management (Group Benefits Associate), in addition to a Certified Financial Planner certification.
When Andrea is not working, she appreciates being a hockey mom, staying active and socializing with family and friends in all-seasons. Her husband, Tim, is also a partner of the firm. Together they have two children, Victoria and Broderick. Andrea enjoys watching her daughter play Comets hockey and train with Saskatoon Track and Field Club, and watching her son play hockey in the Redwing Zone and play guitar. She cherishes the time she spends together with her family at their cabin at Fishing Lake.

Tim Hansen, B.Comm., CFP, CEA is a recognized Speaker, Financial Educator, Author and Retirement Planner, whom you may have seen on CTV and CBC and in the Business View and Thrive magazines. He delivers Ted Talks and other educational presentations for the community and organizations including Advocis, Family Enterprise Exchange and the Praxis School of Entrepreneurship. He is of the 31 authorities across the United States and Canada that was invited to contribute a chapter to the Amazon #1 Best Seller Build Wealth Like A Shark featuring Kevin Harrington, original Shark on ABC TV’s Shark Tank, who has grown 20 companies to over $100 million in revenue each. For the past several years Tim has been a mentor in the Raj Manek Mentorship Program, which pairs experienced business mentors with young entrepreneurs, and he produced the Financial Toolkit they provide on their website.
As a partner and Certified Financial Planner with Sutton Wealth Planning and Sutton Benefits & Pension, Tim has been helping successful families and business owners preserve, protect and pass on their wealth since 2004. Tim is a specialist in Group Retirement Savings and he enjoys working with his wife Andrea (also a partner with Sutton) in building Total Rewards Strategies for businesses. Tim is passionate about helping successful people take control of their wealth and fulfill their dreams. He knows that for most families, their wealth is in control of them, and this leads to confusion, fear and worry. Through the Sutton Abundant Retirement Process TM, which Tim co-created, his clients instead achieve a unique impact, while enjoying a lifestyle of freedom and peace of mind about their wealth.
Originally from Theodore, Saskatchewan, Tim graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2001 with a Bachelor of Commerce. Tim is a member of Advocis, as well as the NSBA, Chamber of Commerce, and Benefits Alliance.
Tim and Andrea have two children, Victoria, and Broderick. Tim enjoys being involved in his children’s activities and has coached both of them in minor hockey. An avid sports fan, Tim’s teams are the Vancouver Canucks, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders, where he is a season ticket holder, and he enjoys taking in as many games as possible. He also plays hockey recreationally, and he is known for his powerful skating stride and soft hands around the net.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys many outdoor activities, from hunting, fishing, boating, hiking and skiing, many of which they enjoy together as a family at their cabin at Fishing Lake. Tim also enjoys the arts, collecting coins, drawing, painting and dabbling in photography, as well as reading personal development books. Tim tries to keep everything light through his keen sense of humour, and he puts those around him at ease through is easy-going and fun-loving nature.

Benefits Advisor Associate
Staci Heinbigner is a Benefits Advisor Associate specializing in group benefits and building total rewards strategies for businesses.
Staci has been working in the group benefits industry since 2003 and joined the Sutton team in January of 2012. In 2015, Staci obtained her Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation, a specialty designation focusing on the design, administration, and communication of group benefits plans and part of the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist® (CEBS) credential through the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
Staci is recognized for her contributions to the development of The Sutton Smartfit™ process, which was designed to align your benefits and pension plan with your company values and culture while identifying obstacles, gaps, and opportunities. The process has been proven to help growing, successful businesses make informed choices and take timely, confident action to support what really matters to their teams and their business.

Staci and her husband Travis have two boys, Scott, and Levi. They also have a chocolate lab named Buster. As a family, they love to spend time at their cabin at Big Shell Lake enjoying 11 acres of garden, dirt bike tracks and fruit trees. Staci enjoys life on the go with her children, watching them participate in all the activities they love – competitive swimming, hockey, basketball, and track & field. She also enjoys any outdoor activity from biking, running with Buster, lake time, campfires, and gardening.
Lindsay joined our team in 2013 to fulfill a new role, Operations Manager. She is responsible for managing the office logistics and execution of business strategies. Lindsay provides value to our clients by coordinating processes behind the scenes, so the rest of our team can deliver the highest level of client service.
Bringing over 9 years of managerial experience with her, Lindsay previously worked as Operations Manager at JABA Construction. Lindsay graduated with distinction from McKay Career Training. She also attended the University of Lethbridge, Southwest Regional College and the Saskatoon Business College, taking various classes of interest and classes for career advancement. Additionally, Lindsay holds certificates in Personal Leadership Effectiveness Coaching, Dale Carnegie Coaching, Safety Management, Basic Training Techniques, and Leadership for Safety Excellence Proficiency.
Lindsay married her high school sweetheart, a welder/fabricator with Brandt, here in Saskatoon. Together, they have one daughter, passionate about cheer, and one son, who terrifies her with his skills in parkour. They have a large, shepherd great pyrenes cross who they all adore. Lindsay enjoys experimenting with graphic design & photography, continual learning and singing the occasional karaoke tune. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially for game nights, movie nights and dog park dates. She loves watching her kids participate in all their activities, binging on Netflix and camping in the summer.
Pension Advisor Associate
Evan Verbeem, B.Econ, QAFP is a Wealth Advisor Associate with Sutton Wealth Planning, providing a supportive role to Jay Stark and a pleasant experience for our clients. Beyond his role as Wealth Advisor Associate, Evan is also a Pension Advisor Associate at Sutton Benefits & Pension Inc. educating and assisting business clients with their work savings plans.
Evan graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from the University of Saskatchewan. He holds his Life Insurance and Securities Licensing to better serve our clients. He worked with the Credit Union in his hometown before joining Sutton Wealth Planning and Sutton Benefits & Pension Inc. in 2014.
Evan was born in Weyburn and grew up in McTaggart, along with his three brothers. Evan lives with his spouse Kaitlin. In his spare time, Evan enjoys reading fantasy books, playing board games and is interested in general health and exercise. For fun, Evan loves to curl, both competitively and recreationally and plays cards with family and friends.
Stacey Frost is an educator, webinar facilitator and Service Manager specializing in Employee Benefits with over 20 years of industry related experience with local and national brokerage firms. She joined Sutton Benefits & Pension in 2014 and provides customer service and claims support, analysis of group benefits programs, plan design amendments, training for plan administrators and facilitates employee presentations. As the lead developer and presenter, Stacey launched our official CPHR accredited administration webinar series, the Sutton Coaching Connection in 2020.
Stacey is a graduate from Business College. In 1999, she obtained the Life Office Management Association Fundamentals of Life and Health Insurance, her Life Insurance License in 2006, and her Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation in 2014. She is currently working towards her Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation and has completed her RPA 1 – Managing Retirement Plans Part 1 course in 2020.
Stacey embraces a multitude of opportunities to gain continued education credits in order to maintain her designations and keep informed on upcoming trends. In 2019, she completed the 4 Seasons of Reconciliation professional development course in an effort to gain understanding surrounding the history and culture of Indigenous communities in Canada. In 2021, she completed the Workplace Mental Health Leadership™ Certificate Program through the Queens University and Lifeworks to gain evidence-based solutions and industry best practices for a mentally healthy workplace.
She is avidly involved in the community and has served on a various boards including the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce and Family Service Saskatoon Foundation. She is passionate about volunteering and has chaired and served on a few fundraising committees for local charities. 2020 marked her 10th year as a Volunteer Coordinator for the Saskatoon SaskTel Jazz Festival. She was recognized for her community volunteerism as a nominee for the YWCA Women of Distinction award in 2016 in the Community Building category.
Stacey is the proud mother of one daughter, Hailey, and happily gained three step sons, Danny, Kieven and TJ, when she married Cam in the fall of 2017. Cam and Stacey enjoy spending time at their cabin at Wakaw Lake where they fish, play golf, snowmobile, and play games. They enjoy spending time with friends and family in Saskatoon and love to travel to Cam’s hometown in Ontario.
Jessie is a Service Associate at Sutton Benefits & Pension, working closely with Staci Heinbigner. She specializes in enhancing our client experience and setting our plan administrators up for success through education sessions and process development. Jessie also provides customer service, claims support and administration for Group Benefits and Pensions Plans.
Jessie joined Sutton in 2019, bringing with her over 15 years of customer service experience. Before joining Sutton, Jessie was a Personal Lines Broker and Commercial Customer Service Rep in the general insurance industry. She holds her Life Insurance License and is currently working towards her GBA, Group Benefits Associate designation.
Originally from Glaslyn, SK, Jessie moved to Saskatoon in 2011 where she met her husband. They got married in 2017 and have a little boy, Lincoln. Together they enjoy hosting friends and family often out on their acreage. In her spare time Jessie loves spending time with her beloved pets,listening to podcasts, playing cribbage, staying active, reading and binge watching Schitts Creek and Friends.
Danae Scott, BBA., is a Service Associate at Sutton Benefits & Pension joining our Sutton team in 2020. She provides our clients with administrative and educational support regarding their group pension plans and specializes in facilitating a polished client experience. Danae graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Regina and currently holds her Life Insurance License. Education is a value of Danae’s as she is working towards her Canadian Securities Licensing in order to serve our clients better.
For Sutton Benefits & Pension, Danae works closely with Tim Hansen and Evan Verbeem, coordinating the onboarding and plan management for our group pension plan clients. She provides necessary data for the plan analysis, investment fund analysis and design recommendations. Danae presents enrollment meetings and education sessions for plan members and manages the individual consultations with employees.
Danae is originally from a small Saskatchewan town and embraces the city life here in Saskatoon. She is a proud aunty and loves spending time with her two nephews. She also has 2 cats, Penny and Piper, who are very cute and cuddly. In her spare time, she likes to socialize and play team sports, such as beach volleyball and rugby. Outside of the extraversion Danae likes to maintain her health and wellness by practicing self-care activities, such as meditation and yoga.
Lorraine joined the team April 1, 2019. She is responsible for reception and assisting the team in the day-to-day activities to help keep Sutton running smoothly.
Lorraine graduated from Saskatoon Business College in 1987. After graduation, she worked for a law firm for 4 years. She used the experience she gained there to work for an agriculture lender for 2 years and then decided to raise a family and run a daycare business for 25 years.
Lorraine and her husband, Brad were married in 1990. They have two grown children, Michelle and Ryan. She enjoys playing golf and reading. She is also a Rider fan and enjoys warm vacations.
Lexie has joined our team on a part time basis as she continues her studies with the University of Saskatchewan. She graduated from Walter Murray in June 2018 and joined our team in March of 2019. Lexie is responsible for supportive administrative duties for the team and assists Lorraine with reception greeting clients.
Her parents are Jay and Sheri Stark, she has a sister named Sydney and a dog named Ginger. She enjoys traveling the world with her family or friends and creating memories with them. When she has some down time, Lexie loves going to the lake or going on adventures with her friends.
